DOT:

Dot Nightingale is new at this school this year. She is deeply interested in drawing and painting and reading comic books. She also obsessively collects little knick-knacks and jewellery with cartoon skulls and other spooky stuff. Dot doesn't have any friends at this new school yet, so she is still apprehensive. Dot scares very easily and whenever she does, it is usually followed by an eruption of anger and violent attacking of whatever it was that frightened her.

JACQUIE:

Jacqueline Silverstar is the gossip queen of high school. She is incredibly popular and is always telling tales that she has twisted in her own way, and spreading vicious rumours. Jacquie has a strange fixation on Dot for some reason, and spends much of her time and effort giving her a hard time with the aid of her 'friends' which are more like minions, fighting amongst themselves for top position at Jacquie's side.

LITTLE RONNY:

The annpying little kid from up the road, that doesn't leave you alone. Little Ronny leads Dot on her quest to find the crazy man, but is he more trouble than help?

HYMIE:

Hymie Malmo is the biggest nerd in high school, but everyone knows that he is going to be very rich one day because he is so smart and productive. Always having a deep interest in science-fiction and the paranormal. Hymie has some connection with the StarWatchers' Guild.

Hymie is actually one of Jarrod's first mainstream comic book characters, making his first appearance back in 1995.

THE STARWATCHERS' GUILD:

A mysterious secret society that Dot has a curious urge to uncover. However, they are after Dot as well.

ROLLER:

Roland Bowler.A mathematical and internet genius, Roller is a year older than his friends, but he has skipped the next 2 years of high school. He is interested in all things geeky, and enjoys hanging out with Hymie and participating in his investigations just to hang out. He finds the majority of clues for the investigation into paranormal affairs.

J.P.

John-Paul Gonzalez. A hardcore geek, obsessed with all things collectable regarding science-fiction. Equally obsessed with his favourite ice-hockey team, of which the jersey is the only shirt he ever seems to wear. JP helps out with the investigations by collecting and storing and catalogueing all the information found, but spends most of the time playing video games.

FMIB:

Philip Mabius. A troubled child. Alledgedly abducted by aliens, Fmib is very shy and quiet. Not because of his encounter, but he has always seemed somewhat anxious and nervous. Hymie questions him, and makes him draw pictures and write information to assist the investigation. Fmib is not really interested in the investigation, but takes part, because he has no other friends. Fmib seems to withhold some very deep and dark secrets.

Secret Evil Government Organisation.

A very dangerous government faction, that supposedly does not really exist. Hymie and his gang are investigating into it because they believe it is responsible for the cover up of many paranormal affairs. But they'd better not dig too deep.
